Ugh

Got a taste of why Wonderduck hated hospitals so much, having spent the last two nights in one.

Fortunately, a clean bill of health, except for my BP. Especially since the precipitating incident was a Transient Ischemic Attack (stroke). Transient enough that I was completely over it in a day. But everyone insisted I get checked out anyway.

The Everett Clinic (where I usually go) had shut down their imaging for the day, and they sent me to Providence/Swedish in North Everett. What I though would be a drop in turned into one overnight stay, and then a second.

But, CT scan, Echocardiogram, and MRI all came up clean, so bullet dodged. For now.

Now I'm so far behind on my anime....

1 Ah, the old out-patient-to-overnight switch; I got burned by that once, in the days before smartphones, and I was glad to have a tiny little iPod in my pocket to keep it from being completely boring.

2 Yeah, my phone was down to 38% and dying quickly. They had a charger I could borrow, but they were all Lightning and USB-C, and my phone is Micro USB (B). finally one of the attendings agreed to go to my car to get the cable and I was able to recharge.

The worst thing was the bed. I had some super advanced weight sensing inflatable bed, which was more like a Sleep Number bed with ADHD. It kept inflating and deflating the different sections every time I moved, and it really freaked when I sat on the edge of it. Plus I'm a side/belly sleeper, which wasn't really possible with the IV and Heart monitor hookups, so I got NO rest.

3 And now a final gift from the hospital, a rash from chin to my toes from an allergic reaction to one of the nearly dozen medications they gave me instead of my usual BP prescription. Back to the Everett Clinic, where I got rapid treatment, a Prednesone Shot, and a secret recipe for super anti-histamine from two OTC medicines. And it's working, but I still itch and my back is completely covered in it. My arms have cleared up a lot but it has finally reached my left foot, which was the last holdout, and it's ugly down there.
