You're in a maze of twisty little plots, all different.

Okay, Kanata no Astra just threw TWO major curve-balls in one episode. I love that this show is just jam-packed with various SF tropes, but damn! They pull out a new one for each episode's cliffhanger.

She Blinded Me With Science

So I went back to Crunchyroll for the first time in a while, and while there I decided to finish off Flip Flappers.

I'm beginning to wish I'd started making the list I would add this to, that is, Anime where the plot comes down to "Your family fucked up the world with a Science Experiment, and now you have to fix it." If I remember correctly, Big Order and Guilty Gear would be up there too.

What more can you think of?

You can't get away from it.

Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO has just transformed from a time-travel story to an Isekai at episode 18. *facepalm* This show REALLY doesn't know what it wants to be, but it took THIS much investment to find out just how schizo it is.

This Season

Probably the most shows on my download list ever.

Kanata no Astra
Tejina-senpai
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka II
Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO (continues)
Gegege no Kitarou (Still running! Ahhhh!)
Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasu ka
Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV

Of course, this is more than I can manage to actually watch. Gegege no Kitaro, for example, is up to 66 episodes and I've watched maybe 15, and I'm a season and a half behind on Symphogear.

Kanata no Astra though is on my Watch Immediately list, especially after this week's cliffhanger. True, the initial setup in the first episode was WAY too ham-fisted to get the characters into the situation the story required, even the characters hung a lampshade on that, but then it proceeded logically from there. In a way I am reminded of Heinlein's "Tunnel in the Sky", thematically anyway, even if the setting is totally different.

Tejina-sempai is dumb fluff. It's a short format, gag comedy about the girl who runs a stage magic club at her school and the guy who joins it just because the school requires that you be in a club. The girl can do her tricks... if nobody's watching. I ended up making a meme picture for it just because of an obvious pun, if anyone's interested.

DanMachi: I'm just a couple episodes in, and I'm deathly afraid this is going to turn into some kind of Arena Combat run.

The first episode of Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasu ka is actually a little funnier BECAUSE someone spoiled the first girl's secret, so watching all the misdirection leading up to the ultimate reveal is hilarious.
