There's been a bit of a Kerfuffle this week about the Dragon Awards. They managed to get all the way through the announcement of the nominations before suddenly deciding, on the basis of a complaint or two, to denominate a work from their best cover category because the creator uses AI tools in her creation. I happen to know the artist in question, and I know a lot of folks on both sides of the AI art debate, so I held forth at length about "When is it time to change the rules?"
