Clearly...

... I need to make a new post, since the old ones aren't getting comments any more.

This isn't it.

2 I'm just glad there are people I can read who know more about nuclear energy than one can learn from "THEM!"

3 I've given up on people commenting on my blog. :)  Doesn't stop me from posting. :)

4 Nothing stops me from commenting.... :-)

I actually have my Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse review written and posted, just not released until I can finish editing the pictures.  I have WAY too many grabs, considering it was a 24 episode season, and I need to cull through them for which ones get snarky comments, and which ones get de-panned to show off the cheesecake to best effect, and they all need to be sized down to 640 pixes wide because click to embiggen is too much of a PITA.  I also need to make sure I can do the new zip file thing properly.

5 I've been reading the manga version of that.  Should be interesting to see your review of the anime.

6 BTW, I caught a ride on a 787 from Narita today. The passenger interface is a bit controvercial, I would say. The way crew can force windows open is just plain rude and unnecessary. The blasted infotainment screen remains sensitive to the touch, so one must insulate it with a pillow before napping on it. Good thing anyway, since it remains hot even if ostensibly off. Wondering how much power those screens waste when unused. On the gripping hand, cargo bins are nice.

7 Yeah, In theory that can also be used to dampen the effects of turning broadside to a rising sun and other things, but I suppose that's up to airline or crew policy.  It's a new toy, so they have to figure out how to use it.  (The LED lighting also has a Saturday Night Fever setting, hopefully they didn't use that.)

Oddly enough, Boeing doesn't make the seats or in-flight entertainment.  The customer buys those and Boeing installs them.

The Bins are surprisingly nice. They are supposed to be able to handle five each of the more popular style of rolling carry-on, and don't require much force to open or close.  But the little touches are cool too.  Did you notice the convex mirror in the top designed to make it easy to see if you left anything in the bin?

In the back and front, above the bins, are little crew rest areas. There are actually five bunks in the ceiling in the back.

It's funny though, I actually have nothing to do with the interior.  Everything I do is behind the rear pressure dome. (Or, depending on the vintage of the plane, in the wheel well.) All places almost nobody gets to see. The landing gear doors have the BEST warning labels on them.  They don't just say they may cause injury, they say they will crush and kill you. Apparently they need to translate that into Swahili.
